Bolder Boulder. An awesome venue for the girls to do a team run. The idea was to run as a team which meant a slow pace, but everyone had fun and there were 50,000 others running too. Additionally, it was an awesome tribute to those who served/serve our country. We also got to hang out with our former pastor, Pete and visit his new church, Whitefields Community Church. A great blessing indeed.
The boys took on the Boulder to Estes Park Challenge ride and I'd say this was the best road ride I've ever done. Long miles and tons of climbing, along with huge rollers. The climb starts in earnest around Lyons, and continues 30 plus miles on Highway 7 to Estes Park, followed by a screeming descent on Highway 36. On the descent, I reached speeds I've never approached before on a bicycle. Boulder is a bike friendly community and people give you plenty of room and are very courteous, especially compared to our local nuevo mexicans. Man, if I was young again and looking for a college, you bet the University of Colorado at Boulder would be right at the top of my list. A nice weekend in the front range.
